Responders Together NH Launches September Events Supporting First Responders, Veterans, and Families
Responders Together New Hampshire (RTNH) is gearing up for one of its busiest months yet, with a slate of community events designed to raise support for first responders, veterans, and their families. As the nonprofit enters its fifth year of service, organizers say participation is stronger than ever, with more community members and part- ner organizations stepping up to get involved.
“Year five really feels like a turning point,” said Aimee La- motte. “We’ve seen increased participation in our programs, more community awareness, and new collaborations that will help us grow and serve even more responders, military service members, veterans, and their
families.”
A September Full of Events
The month kicks off on Fri- day, September 6th, with a fund- raising ride and BBQ benefiting RTNH. Community members will rally together on two wheels to show their support, raising awareness and funding for pro- grams that directly aid first re- sponders.
Next, on Thursday, Septem- ber 11th, the historic Newfound Lake Inn in Ashland will host a Golf Tournament with proceeds benefiting RTNH and local fire, police, and EMS departments. Organizers expect a strong turn- out for what has become one of the region’s most anticipated
late-summer outings, combining recreation with community sup- port.
On Friday, September 13, RTNH will host an “All Pro- grams FREE” event at Wel- lington State Park. The event is open to responders, military service members, veterans, and their families and is designed to provide an opportunity to expe- rience programs and resources.
Growing Partnerships and Support
RTNH is also celebrating new and growing partnerships with organizations such as the Central NH Veterans Coali- tion, Wounded Warrior Project, New England Mindfulness and Performance, and the Hidden
Battles Foundation. These col- laborations will bring expanded resources, training, and support to the Lakes Region and beyond.
Looking Ahead: Training at the Fire Academy
Beyond September, RTNH is also looking ahead to a major training opportunity this fall. The Lakes Region and Granite State Critical Incident Stress Man- agement (CISM) Peer Teams of RTNH will host the ICISF Group and Individual Critical Incident Stress Management Peer Support Class at the New Hampshire Fire Academy in Oc- tober. This class is designed for responders interested in gaining the education and resources to support their peers with mental health and wellness.
A Community Movement
Responder Together New
Hampshire continues to build momentum as a communi- ty-driven effort. What began as a vision to provide responders with peer support, connection, and wellness programs has grown into a robust network of services supported by partnerships, vol- unteers, and local residents who recognize the importance of helping those who serve.
At its core, RTNH’s mission emphasizes standing together as a community. By caring for re- sponders, veterans, and families, the organization helps strengthen the broader community as a whole.
Community members are en- couraged to email INFO@RE- SPONDERSTOGETHERNH. ORG for more information on upcoming events, including how to participate in the September ride, golf tournament, or Wel- lington gathering.
