Opening Day Essentials and Some Summer Save the Dates

The Summer unofficially kicks off this Saturday, May 6th at 9am at Wells Field as Open- ing Day Ceremonies mark the start of the TTCC T-Ball, Soft- ball and Baseball Season. A Pa- rade of Teams and the National Anthem will welcome players as First Pitches will be thrown out by Newfound Regional High School senior athletes. Games are scheduled throughout the day with the Woodchucks and Dolphins squaring off first right down the road at Kelley Park.
Towards the end of the month, on May 25th, from 4:30 to 6:00pm, the Tapply-Thomp- son Community Center (TTCC) will host an Essential Oils Work- shop with Katlin Simula. The cost for the workshop is just $5, as participants will learn the health benefits of essential oils and create a DIY Spring Spray. You can register online at the TTCC website or email or text

In early June we are holding a very special Day of Giving fundraiser known as NH Gives. On June 6th at 5pm to June 7th at 5pm, we are holding this 24- hour fundraiser to help support the programs at the Center and to help with the costs associated with our Capital Projects, which include renovations to our cur- rent Center and the building of a New Community Center.
NH Gives is an incentivized giving program that allows peo- ple to donate to their favorite nonprofits for a 24-hour period, where the nonprofit competes for prizes and can maximize do- nations through match amounts and specials deals. At the end of the June, we will be holding our 13th An- nual “Tee it up ‘Fore’ the Kids” Golf Tournament on June 24th at the Den Brae Golf Course. Shot-gun-start will be held at 1pm and includes a scramble format for the 18-hole Tourney. Reserve your spots today that include green fees, cart and buf- fet dinner, plus prizes for lowest team, longest drive and closest to the pin.
Our Challenger Sports Sum- mer Soccer Camp rounds out our Save the Date schedule, as this week-long camp runs from July 31st to August 4th. The Tiny Tikes, ages 3- 5 division, begins at 8am and is $85, while the Half Day, ages 6-12 pro- gram runs from 9am to 12pm and is $160.
