NH Marathon Donates $39K To Newfound Area Nonprofits
BRISTOL – The NH Mar- athon committee and Tania Hiltz, representing this year’s title sponsor, Jeremy Hiltz Exca- vating, has awarded $39,000 to local nonprofit organizations at a post-reception hosted by The Homestead Restaurant in Bris- tol, NH.
The post-NH Marathon cer- emony celebrated its’ 30th year of fall, running, and philan- thropy by donating to three area youth-serving nonprofits: the Tapply-Thompson Community Center, The Mayhew Program, and the Circle Program. Support from the NH marathon goes to
help Newfound area youth’s year-round programming and summer camps.
“We are extremely grateful for this year’s sponsors who an- nually give to this event, thrilled by the number of runners this year in all the running categories, and excited to spotlight the NH Marathon’s community-focused mission”, explains race director Bob Watson.
The one-day multi-event was held on September 30th and saw record-breaking numbers in all the categories: full marathon, half-marathon, 10K race, and a children’s fun run. Sponsorships
and support came from more than 45 area businesses and individuals and over 100 volun- teers who helped fill registration tables, water stations, course first aid, race-day check-ins, and fin- ish line support.
In addition to presenting three donations, the NH Mar- athon committee honored four individuals for their support and volunteer work over the past 30 years: Fred MacLean, Jane Kraemer, John Clayton, and Carol Huber. It is dedica- tion and service like these four individuals that make this race unique and inspiring year after year.
Represented in the attached photo are the following busi- nesses and organizations: NH Marathon committee mem- bers, Tania Hiltz from Jeremy Hiltz Excavating, The Tap- ply-Thompson Community Center, The Mayhew Program, and the Circle Program.
On December 16th, the NH Marathon committee starts to prepare for next year’s race day, which is slated for Saturday, October 5th, 2024!
