Llano Grande “Spice of Friendship” Quilt Show
It was a great day at the Llano Grande 9th
Annual Quilt Show, Spice of Friendship.
Congratulations to all 130 Bee members,
Committee leaders, Michelle Patmon, show
chair and Cindy Maledy, co-chair.

1355 people attended the Spice of Friendship
Quilt Show and were amazed to see more
than 245 awesome quilted items on display in
14 categories. When the votes were counted,
the People's Choice Best of Show awards
were presented to these exceptional
quilters: Third Place Judy Althouse Witches of
Salem Quilting Bee; Second Place Monica
Meyers Moonlight Sonata First Place Doris
Pelz Vintage Rose
With 11 vendors reporting brisk sales and full First Place - Doris Pelz "Vintage Rose"

demonstrations, inspiration was abundant
throughout the day. But the excitement
didn't end there. The Purse and Tote
drawing produced 20 happy winners. There Sandy Sprott, winner of
were 70 wonderful door prizes given away the Janome Sewing
which included such items as gift certificates Machine pictured with
for local businesses and beautiful handmade Linda Anklam, Activity

resident, was the lucky winner of the Janome
Sewing Machine donated by Llano Grande.
The Spice of Friendship Opportunity Quilt
was on display at the show. The drawing for
this quilt took place on Sunday, February 25
at the Llano Grande Show and Tell event.
The winner of the “Spicy” colored quilt with
pillow cases and a storage bag was bee
member, Tanya Clark.
The Llano Grande Quilting Bee thanks you for Tanya Clark, winner of
your support which allows them to support the Opportunity Quilt
many community service projects.
