FROM THE CLASSROOM & BEYOND
From the Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching
t has certainly been a busy and exciting year at ACK. Students have demonstrated a passion for learning and shown that with a
I strong work ethic great things can be achieved. A major highlight of the year was the opening of the Fourvière Centre. It is the
home of all English classes which benefit from allowing students from all year levels to use this state-of-the-art learning facility.
The Fourvière library has become a central meeting place for students to work collaboratively on various work requirements and it
provides a sanctuary for those seeking quiet learning spaces for deeper thinking and reflection.
Throughout this light-filled and spacious building, students can be seen being active learners engaged in a range of tasks that not
only promote learning of new content, but also develop important skills such as communication, critical thinking and creativity.
I hope you enjoy the following photos that give an insight into what our students have done in the classroom and beyond in 2016.
