PURPOSE
To give and receive feedback with others in the organization in a productive and non-threatening way.
DESCRIPTION Participants mingle in a “cocktail party” atmosphere and give each other verbal and written feedback
PARTICIPANTS 8 or more
TIME 1 hour
SUPPLIES
pens and copies of Role Message sheet (see steps for numer of copies)
Steps:
• Create a party atmosphere with room to move around and chat and offer refreshments. Make copies of Role Message sheets on next page. (Each person gets one for every person in the room.)
• Hand out the Role Message sheets. Give participants 10-15 minutes to fill out as many sheets as they can for others.
• Then have them walk around to each other (while snacking) and read their message to the person they’re sending it to. They can answer any questions from the person and then give them the paper at the end of their little talk.
