adds, ‘I feel happy when I speak Chinese, it’s like a hobby for me. I can speak to people in Chinese and others don’t know what we’re saying. It’s really fun.’
The richness of Wesley College’s languages journey is best summed up by Dylan Quick, a Year 3 student, who gets to the heart of the Wesley ethos: ‘We get to read characters and it’s a whole different language. You get to learn a new style of life or know how other people see things or you get to learn interesting words. You get to see other people’s perspectives.’

Another highlight of the CLIL Network Workshop was the focus group sessions which engaged the participants in discussions about the opportunities and challenges involved in teaching CLIL in particular subject areas.
