2.7.2 Perceive Ease of Use (PEU)
PEU, as described by Davis et al. (1989), represents the degree of
convenience derived from the integration of new technology into one's life or
work environment. Within the TAM, an influential theoretical framework for
understanding technology adoption, PEU emerges as another pivotal
construct. This element delves into the extent to which an individual
perceives that utilizing a specific technology will entail minimal effort and a
hassle-free experience (Setiawan et al., 2023). In essence, it captures the
perception that using the technology will be straightforward and user-
friendly. The concept of PEU plays a significant role in TAM, shedding light
on individuals' attitudes and behaviours concerning the acceptance and
utilization of technology, particularly by considering the convenience it
offers.
2.7.3 Behavioural Intention of Use (BI)
As highlighted by research conducted by Prieto et al. (2015) and To and Trinh
(2021), the TAM incorporates behavioural intention of use as a central
construct within its theoretical framework. TAM serves as a valuable tool for
elucidating and forecasting individuals' inclinations towards accepting and
engaging with technology. Behavioural intention of use, a pivotal component
within TAM, encapsulates the extent to which an individual expresses their
intention or willingness to utilize a specific technology (To and Trinh, 2021).
In essence, it delves into the individual's proclivity or disposition towards
adopting and incorporating the technology into their routines. This construct
within TAM plays an important role in understanding and predicting
technology acceptance by shedding light on the individual's future intentions
and actions regarding technology usage.
