In the initial vision for the organisation, we believed we would use the
marathon as a test case in order to pool masses that take part in our events
to be able to raise funds for selected charities and eventually one day their
own charities. The dream is to allow other events that might not initially have
the capacity to do so themselves, PGM Foundation would become a conduit
to enable those events to raise money for charity, be it a cycling racing,
motor racing or any other event.

The development of the organisation resonated well with me and the other
founding member on a personal level, because we perceived ful lment from
the thought of being able to make a di erence to those who can't.

Fostering the spirit of ‘Botho’, we would like to invoke the community spirit
that is so much a part of the Botswana’s culture, which supports and uplifts
the livelihood of those around you, in extending oneself to the needs of
others and embodies the spirit of giving. 2018

Ultimately, we would like to foster healthier communities, we nd that
children are playing less and less outside, so the ability to reduce the burden
of an ailing society from government and families, by encouraging and
casting an awareness about healthy living, even from primary school, would
be the realisation of a dream.
