"Joanne grows several herbs in her garden, here she is drying
oregano."

"Dan bought an IPad Pro for Christmas after trying one at the
Apple Store. He has never drawn or painted before. He is using
an app called Procreate, which contains dozens of brushes.
Since December he's drawn or painted over 70 pieces, a few of
which shown here. One is based on a photo he took in Iceland,
one is based on a photo taken at Bodie State Park, and the last
was inspired by a photo he took while visiting Palm Spring
Modernism Week 2020.

Joanne and Dan learn to Play Music
"Joanne had never played piano before, just a little guitar. She
has been following "How to Play the Piano" in the Great
Courses series on Kanopy. In three weeks she has progressed
Bodie
to playing with two hands. If anyone wants to hear "When The
Saints Go Marching In" she thinks she's got it down.

"Dan had never played guitar before, and borrowed one of son
Ryan's guitars. In two weeks Dan has learned posture and sev-
eral chords, and is just practicing switching between chords
and working on reading music."

Some day they hope to play together and 'rock out'!
