MAN OVERBOARD COURSE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
Peggy McFarland
CSS hosted a very successful Man Overboard (MOB) on-water training event on Saturday, July 13th. The training included rescuing volunteer divers and hoisting them onboard. We are happy to report that all “victims” survived!
One of the highlights of the course was getting hands on experience using the SeeArch designed by RCYC Member Neil Darroch. The SeeArch significantly improves MOB visibility and recovery.
Special thanks to Members:
Ron Linden for his excellent presentation and Neil Darroch, designer of the SeeArch, and one of our coaches.
Also, many thanks to Jenny Farrand of the Sailing Office and the excellent Member coaches!
For more information about the SeeArch visit www. seearch.ca. The presentation and links to some excellent videos are posted on the CSS website.
