After a a a beautiful summer on the Island running tennis camps adult clinics and the Saturday morning round robin our attention turns back to the City Clubhouse and the fall programs SQUASH
For the the person looking to to get into the the game we offer a a beginner clinic This four-week introductory program is for the the player wanting to learn the the game of squash The grip forehand backhand service basic strategy and rules of the game will be taught It runs for four consecutive Wednesday nights Session 1: Session 2: Session 3:
October October 3rd – October October 24th November November 7th – November November 28th January January 9th – January January 30th
On Monday evenings we offer a a Drop In Round Robin Open to all intermediate players this Round-Robin is meant to encourage participation and friendly matches On Wednesday nights drop by the Sports Hall for an an evening full of doubles and singles match play This evening is is brimming with fun and welcoming individuals that are looking to enjoy the game of badminton in in in a a a a a a dynamic and interactive manner Pairings and match-ups are consistently shuffled to invite a a a a a social and lighthearted nature to the the night JUNIOR PROGRAMS
We have a a a a little junior racquets program for kids 3-5 years old on on Thursday afternoons We have After-School Programs Monday to Thursday for kids 5 years years old old to 16 years years old old The After-School Racquets Program’s focus is to get RCYC’s Junior Members playing squash and badminton The goal of the program is to to teach each each child the excellent values of exercise meeting new friends and playing the sport into adulthood while having fun Coaches work with players on the basics of each game: forehand backhand volley serve movement and and game strategy Sportsmanship and and learning how to play in in a a a fun competitive environment will also be reinforced The After-School Program can accommodate beginner/intermediate players If you can’t make it it down to the City Clubhouse during the week we we offer a a a a a Saturday morning program that mirrors our After-School Program As you can see the RCYC racquets program caters to the young and old with a a a a wide variety of programming For more information go to our website at at RCYC ca There you will find start dates costs and more detailed information You can always contact me as well at: taylor fawcett@rcyc ca ca or or call 416 934 4424

There are four evening house leagues to choose from The Monday House League is open to all players In this league you are expected to play every week There are five divisions and you you play everyone in your division once The Tuesday Night League has more flexibility and you can reschedule your match if you you are unable to play on a a a a particular Tuesday We We have a a a a Women’s Novice League on Wednesday evenings A no-pressure have-lots-of-fun-and-meet- new-people- league This is is a a a a great starting point for players wanting to get involved in in in a a a a league For our top squash players we offer a a a a league on Wednesday evenings For the doubles player we have four leagues to choose from Two leagues on on on Monday Night and one on on on Tuesday and one on on on Wednesdays For the person looking for a a a a casual drop in in we offer a a a a mixed double round robin on Saturday mornings BADMINTON
On Monday & Thursday mornings from 10:00am to 11:30am we will kick start your day with our our Early Bird Doubles Badminton Clinics These sessions are designed for adults of all ages and skill levels looking to to grasp the fundamentals of badminton or build upon their former skills in a a a fun and social environment 18
