Engine Use

The 20 nm day race. Don’t want to sail at night? No problem, this fun race is for you.
Boats may elect to use auxiliary propulsion during the race, so long as an accurate log of engine hours is managed and submitted to rally organizers.
The rating system favours sailing over engine for all boats. The aggregate time motoring will be added to the total time on course which will then be adjusted by the boat’s rating. Effectively your engine hours are counted
twice and added to your time under sail before your boat’s rating is applied.
Start at 1050 on Saturday, August 18th at T1/T2 Leslie Street Spit.
