CRUISING SAILORS' SQUADRON - 50 YEARS
 Cathie Macdonald
     DON’T’ MISS OUT
JOIN THE CRUISING SAILING SQUADRON (CSS)! Formed 50 years ago, and now the Club’s largest fleet with over 450 members, the CSS encourages RCYC Members to enjoy safe, exciting, adventurous and relaxing cruises in Lake Ontario and in other exotic destinations. At the Club our activities include social events, sharing knowledge about cruising, no boat no problem cruises, etc. Our members are cruisers and wannabe cruisers, families with children, those who also sail in other fleets, and those without boats. So many reasons to join!
A summer schedule of cruises to explore around Lake Ontario!
Explore the many reciprocal clubs around the Lake. New cruisers learn from the experiences of others. Enjoy great “wine and cheeses” and bbqs and visit the area.
Winter seminars to learn and share your knowledge about cruising!
Get together for dinner before a seminar that explores a wide range of topics - from cruises in faraway locations, tips on archoring and night sailing to the latest on boat electronics and much more.
Pat Your Boat Day, the magical winter get together on the Island!
The CSS invites all Club Members to join us in taking the Wards Island ferry, then walking or bussing to the Carpenters Shop for a feast of hot soup and cake and do it yourself bbqs - as well as an opportunity to check on boats.
Join fellow CSS Members at great social events during the year!
Join us for the Spring Dinner at the Island Ballroom, a kids event such as the Frog Race followed by the Summer BBQ in the Rose Garden, FREE TO MEMBERS, and finally, the Fall Dinner, Annual General Meeting and Awards evening at the City Clubhouse.
