NO Locate and repair open on R/W wire between [78B] and [65B]. 2006 Softail: Engine Management (EFI)
NO Mate connector [65]. NO Check for continuity between terminal A of connector [65B] (R/W wire) and cav- ity 14 of Breakout Box. Continuity present? NO Repair open on BK wire between connector [65B] and ground.
NO Check for continuity between terminal A of connector [65B] (R wire) and ground. Continuity present? 2 3 YES Check for continuity between terminal C of connector [65B] (BK wire) and ground. Conti- nuity present?
Inspect connector [65]. Is connector mated properly? YES Remove and inspect speedometer sensor. Inspect for debris and clean if necessary. Place speedometer into diagnostic mode and clear diagnostic trouble codes. Connect all circuits and ride motorcycle for approximately 1.0 mile (1.6 km). Check for speedom- eter function. Speedometer functioning properly? 2 YES Repair short to ground. YES STOP Go to. Test 5.25 (Part 2 of 2)
