NO ECM disconnected, measure resistance between terminals 12 and 28 and cavities 30 and 28 on Breakout Box. (less than 1 megohm resistance)? YES ground on R or BK wire between connectors [78B] and [79B]. NO Replace CKP sen- sor. See Softail Ser- vice Manual. NO Repair open on R wire between Terminal 1 of connector [79B] and cavity 30 of connector [78B]. See lamp.
Connect Breakout Box to harness only, leaving ECM disconnected. Measure resistance between terminals 30 and 28 and between cavities 12 and 28 on Breakout Box. Resistance more than 1 megohm? NO Connect DVOM to cavities 12 and 30 on Breakout Box. Set DVOM to AC volts and crank engine. Does DVOM read 1 VAC minimum during cranking? NO Connect DVOM at Terminals 1 3 and 2 of connector [79A]. Does DVOM read 1 VAC minimum while cranking? YES Check for continuity between Ter- minal 1 of connector [79B] and cavity 30 on Breakout Box. Continuity present? YES Repair open on BK wire between
CKP SENSOR: DTC P0373, P0374 1 2 YES Check for intermittent connection, pinched or damaged wires, and loose CKP sensor fasteners. Conditions found? YES Repair as necessary. YES With DVOM still connected, check for inter- mittents using 5.8 WIGGLE TEST. Intermit- tents present? NO YES Install known Repair as good CKP sen- necessary. sor. Clear codes and retest.
