Major natural gas projects in Dawn-Euphemia complete

e company says the compressor, which had been under construction for a couple of years, is part of a $1.5 billion project to
improve the ow of natural gas across Ontario and into Eastern Canada. “It is now complete and went into service Nov. 1,” says Union Gas spokesperson Andrea Stass. “ at was the planned start up date and it was within budget.”

Stass says the company is
also nishing the $265 million Panhandle project which will bring more natural gas to Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.

Stass says the company had hoped to have the project completed this week, but testing is still going on. “We’ve had some weather delays with this project.
We had hoped it would be this week but it will now be complete by the end of the month.
She adds construction crews will still be seen in the area until 2018 cleaning up the 40 kilometre plus site, repairing the land and replanting grass. “It is the sort of thing that you can’t do in the late fall it is best to do it in the spring.”
