10. Cut off all excess line flush with the outside of the knot. The ends
need not be whipped to prevent fraying; with use they will work back
inside the knot altogether.
11. Finish the monkey’s fist by wrapping a seizing for about an inch
around the throat of the loop handle. This will prevent any part of the loop
from working its way back into the knot and thus loosening it.
