Since then, I signed upas a lifetime volunteer and that has been my success story. Just as I have volunteered to share this knowledge with you without charges. Haha.
Most times when I tell people to find opportunities to volunteer, Ihearfunnythingslike“...whowillbepayingmy transport fare?”, “...what will I gain?”, “how will I spend my time without pay?”, “...time na money o” etc.
It's fine to always want money for your time but the greatest thing to exchange with time is “VALUE”. In this case, value is not just measured by the volume of money made. Value can be measured by impact, personal fulfillment or satisfaction, and a sense of achievement.
Do not look down of volunteering opportunities and do not be afraid to say you are a volunteer.
