At a point, political leaders started indicating interest in my projects. I started writing project proposals for politicians for their constituency projects. I gained their trust because I did something for free and most important and interesting part was that I started making money from people I would have been able to meet if I had only gone from one office to another seeking job opportunities.
I am able to do most of the things I do today because I once learnt and volunteered in them. These relationships did not stop. The more I move up in my career, the more they believe in the process and the more I charge them for my services and products.
So, I owe my clients a singular task to develop my personal brand from time to time. This was learnt in my years of being a total volunteer.
