India has not even thought of the word “LOCKDOWN”. But COVID-19 has forced

India to be in lockdown. When PM Narendra Modi has announced the lockdown

all the states and people wherein a great confusion. All were in a hurry to buy

goods and other things at their home. No public transport, churches, schools, fes-
tivals, gatherings etc. Everyone stayed a there houses, all were in complete lock-

down. Behind this lockdown, there were many advantages and disadvantages to

society. One of the major advantages of lockdown is the reduction in pollution.

The most affected Delhi has proved the reduction in pollution; River Ganga has

shown his beauty and pride. Another advantage is that the creativity of many peo-

ple was shown to society; everyone was busy doing something at their home.

The major disadvantage of the lockdown is the decline in the market economy.

Due to this situation, India faces a certain economic crisis. But behind this lock-

down there were many hardworking people, they were working day and night

without any compromise. The main heroes who work during the lockdown periods

are Doctors, Nurses, Police officers, Government officials, etc. They are risking
their lives and are saving many people from this pandemic. So we must respect

and salute those great heroes. Lockdown has created many advantages and disad-

vantages to society, but to stop this virus, we must obey these lockdowns.
