               Lesson Begins: MM introduces the word, song & instrument of the week

                              Word:  percussion – a family of instruments played by shaking or being
                                     struck with hands or a mallet

                              Instrument: shakers


               Warm-Up:
                   •  Frankie Dance: head & tail motion – rock spine back-forth, side-side, fold at
                       waist, roll up slow
                   •  Head and tail motion, rock spine back & forth, side to side
                   •  Upper & Lower body
                          o  Upper: Figure eight motions with hands, rolls, sprinkler, raise the roof
                          o  Lower Body: hug a tree, high knees, little kicks, heel & toe touches,
                              crisscross jumps, Big X
                   •  The Rattlesnake with Shakers

                   •  Vocal Warm-Up: speak, whisper, shout, sing; sigh high-low
                   •  Calm Body
