                   •  Reviewed “Queen Caroline” and played the steady beat & rhythm
                   •  Reviewed lullaby, “By’m Bye”
                   •  Percussion – instruments that are played by shaking or being struck
                   •  Learned “Checki Morena” from Puerto Rico – moved bodies & played shakers
                   •  Practiced following a conductor with the high & low pitches of “Lemonade”
                   •  Saw a performance from a professional Latin American percussionist


               Opening Song: “It’s Music Time”



               Lesson Begins: MM introduces the word, song & instrument of the week

                              Word:  ensemble – a group of people singing or playing together
                              Song: “Are You Sleeping?” (Frere Jacques)

                              Instrument: rhythm sticks, shakers & drum

               Warm-Up:

                   •  Frankie Dance: head & tail motion – rock spine back-forth, side-side, fold at
                       waist, roll up slow
                           o  Upper Body: figure eights, wave, swim, back stroke
                           o  Lower Body: hug a tree, high knees, little kicks, heel & toe touches,
                              crisscross jumps, Big X
                   •  Marching in Place & Stir the Soup
                   •  Vocal Warm-Up: speak, whisper, shout, sing
                   •  Calm Body
