Rhythm/Rhyme: “Apples Peaches Pears and Plums”
• Lightly pat the steady beat as MM says rhyme:

“Apples, peaches, pears and plums,
Tell me when your birthday comes”

• Speak rhyme together, thinking about personal birthday months
• Repeat
• Speak rhyme playing steady beat on rhythm sticks
• Repeat rhyme
• MM speaks months of the year in order, and MF & S play two clicks after personal
birthday months
Ø Management Tip: Instead of all S rhythm sticks, S could march or clap to
beat.

• MM hums “Kye Kye Kule” and asks MF & S to identify the song
• “This song is a call and ?” (response)
• MF sings the call and everyone else sings the response
