Multiplait rope comprises a plait of pairs of right- and left-hand strands.
Right-hand strands have black marker thread. Form an eye to the right of
the standing part, unplait and tuck a pair of right-handed strands under a
convenient right-handed pair in the standing part. Tuck the adjacent left-
handed pair under the adjacent left-handed pair in the standing part. Turn
the splice over and repeat as above, using the remaining two pairs.
