All of this should be supported by a defined mechanism and processes to re- appraise the town centre. Consider its role and function now and in the future, address the streets and their function, in the context of the bypass being built.
Positive planning for the change that will take place.
We think that this radical approach could be initiated now, and would run alongside the early stages of the Local Plan process. Indeed, success in engaging with the local stakeholders and community could influence the Council’s approach to the Local Plan – although this should be considered an optimistic outlook!
