ABBTF’s strategy to attract young
people is via both on and offline
marketing, including expos and skills
competitions.
With a focus on high achievers and
award winning apprentices. ABBTF’s
$20,000 sponsorship supported the
National WorldSkills Australia Winner
at the International Competition held in
Abu Dhabi in October 2017.
The national competition was another
tough, high quality event that really
showed off the trade to the public.
Second time competitor Nik Foster
from Western Australia deservingly
won the Gold Medal.
Early next year the Australian
Skillaroo team will be named to
compete at the WorldSkills
International Competition being held in
Kazan, Russia in 2019.
Trystan Sammut, qualified bricklayer from
Ballarat, Victoria won a Bronze Medal at
WorldSkills International held in October 2017.
