“Why?” Mrs. Kerry was flabbergasted. “It was a happy ending. Prince Charles and
Princess Miriam shared a kiss and rode into the sunset. She was eventually freed.”
The dragon shook his head solemnly, “I know. But the dragon was killed. He died.” A sad
look crossed his face.
Princess Judith’s head jerked up with so much speed. Suddenly, her interest peaked to a
high proportion. She couldn’t stop a smile from spreading on her face, “Did you say the dragon
died?”
“Yes,” Gerald’s voice was laced with fury and sadness.
Judith’s grin spread. She guessed from his voice that he was not pleased with the fact
that one of his kind passed, albeit in the fictional world. The princess was intrigued. It was
about time the arrogant creature learnt that dragons aren’t as powerful as he claims them to
be. They could also be destroyed. Besides, she has always had a grudge on Gerald. Anything
that disturbed him did the exact opposite to her. “Indeed?”
“Indeed.”
“What an interesting ending. On second thought, I would reread this book. There may
be some fascinating scenes.”
