Beech’s Bench Talk
Good Afternoon and welcome to the
Lancer Scott stadium.
It was the first time since I arrived
that I could name an unchanged side
last week against Clevedon, which
tells you that when everyone is
available we can compete in this
league! Our first half performance
last week was very pleasing and we
were rewarded with a 1-0 half time
lead thanks to a goal from the hard
working Miles Hardidge. The lads
have been working very hard but a
moment’s lapse of concentration cost us when we gifted a free
header for Clevedon to equalise. Soon after we were down to 10
men following the sending off of our goal scorer, but the boys dug
in to claim a valuable point against one of the most inform sides at
the moment and midweek Clevedon beat a very highly fancied
Bridgewater side. It was also pleasing to see youngsters Alfie
Cummings and Henry Sady holding their own in a physical game
and we all know they have a great future ahead of them.
We go into today’s game without our skipper Conner Saunders and
Miles Hardidge as they serve 2 and 3 game suspension’s
respectively, but you will see a couple of new additions!
On my last note On behalf of the whole club I would like to wish
our goalkeeper Joel Manning all the best as he starts a week’s trial
with Bristol city on Monday. Good luck Joel!
Get behind the lads and enjoy the game
