Tobin strike seals the points

Yesterday we welcomed near neighbours Hengrove to Ironmould Lane. We
without suspended strikers Danny Dodimead & Oaklan Buck. Back into the
squad came Captain Asa White, Lewis Dunn & Josh Egan.

We did not start the game in the fluent manner of Tuesday and to be fair
the away side started brighter than us.

They forced a flurry of free kicks in the 1st 7 mins and it was a er the 3rd
we created our first chance. We broke well & Jordan Scadding found Macca
at the back post but he Couldn’t get his effort on target.

On 10mins a corner for us found Ricke s unmarked but he couldn’t get his
effort on target.

There was no real fluency to the game. The referee seem unprepared to let
the game flow & delaying restarts in play didnt help either.

On 35mins we were forced into a change when Ma Groves picked up an
injury & was replaced by Lewis Dunn.

Dunn was to have an even ul 10mins first he was le unmarked at the back
post from a corner & was unable to get it on target.

2mins later he was adjudged to have bought down a Hengrove player. To be
honest it look like he won the ball and the forward tripped over his leg.

Lucky enough Dorrington pulled of a great save from the penalty to keep it
at 0-0 going into the break.

HT 0-0.

We needed to show more in the 2nd half but credit to Hengrove they just
wouldn’t let us play.
