Tobin strike seals the points
On 56mins we forced 2 quick corners. Whites first effort was deflected wide
& from the 2nd his effort went just wide.
6mins later the away side were down to 10 men when their No 6 received
his 2nd yellow of the game.
On 67mins we got the breakthrough when Egans corner was finished from
close range by Harry Tobin 1-0.
The visitors never gave up and came close to an equaliser but found
Dorrington in great form.
We then had 2 good chances Egan fired over a er good work by Tobin on
the le & then Griffiths done all the hard work to make space in the box but
couldn’t get his effort on target.
On 88mins White was shown a straight red card in what the Ref deemed to
be a dangerous challenge when compe ng for a header. To be honest I
think everyone was shocked.
The away side then came close from a corner when Dunns header hit our
bar. And put an effort from the next one Just wide.
There was relief as the ref blew the final whistle.
Hengrove to there credit never gave up and probably feel that they
deserved something from the game.
We didn’t play well but got the 3 points and kept our 3rd clean sheet in a
row. Some mes you have win ugly.
