Lewis Coombes, Goalkeeper – A product of the Ashton FC Youth System from the age of 6,
joined 2010. left in 2012 for Bishop Sutton but re-signed in 2014 under ex-manager & dad
Rich Coombes and has been the Stags’ No. 1 ever since. Ever-present, vocal & a good shot
stopper.
Joe Bishop, Defender – Bish is now into his 7th season at the Stags’, he reads the game well
and has established himself as the rock in the defence over the last few of seasons. Product
of the Ashton FC Youth System.
Jordan Bishop, Defender – Broke into the squad from the reserves a couple of seasons ago,

done brilliantly when called upon and now a 1 team squad regular. Brother of fellow
defender Joe, but certainly doesn’t live in his shadow on and off the pitch!
Tom Press, Defender – Another Ashton FC Youth represented in the 1st Team. Signed from
Broad Plain House in the Somerset County League in 2018, loves of tackle, great diag and
good in the air, formed a great partnership with the rest of the defence.
Regan Sollars, Defender – Signed from Brislington in 2016, now an ever present in the 1 st
team after breaking through from the reserves after being a key player their promotion 4
seasons ago. Product of Bristol Rovers Academy before joining Rovers he was part of the
Ashton FC Youth setup.

Charlie Saunders, Defender/Midfield – Signed from Bath City in 2018 & brother of 1 team
captain Connor. Modern day defender, quick, very good on the ball and is a very good ball
carrier. Char is very versatile being able to play at the back or in midfield.
Sam Thomas, Midfield – Started at Ashton Boys aged 5, rejoined following a period at Bristol
City Academy. Signed for the Stags in 2010, making him our longest serving player. High
quality midfielder & full of energy, who never stops running. He has become a major part
for the side. Again Tomo is very versatile and has been known to fill in wherever the
manager needs him including in goal.
Joel Bayliss, Midfield – Signed this summer from Clevedon Town, can play on either wing or
through the middle. His pacey and direct, will cause any team problems at this level. looks
18 but add another 10 years!!
Alfie Cummings, Midfield – New signing this season, only 17 years of age. Ex-Bristol
Rovers schoolboy, very good on the ball a player who has bags of potential.
Mason Hardidge, Midfield – Promoted from the Reserves this season and hasn’t looked out

of place in the 1 Team also brother of fellow midfielder Miles. Mas is very good on the ball
and has lots of potential and looking forward to seeing what he adds to the squad.
Miles Hardidge, Midfield – Box to box midfielder with bags of ability, one of the best technical
players in the squad and has become of 1st Team regular over recent seasons. Very
comfortable on the ball and can play anywhere across the midfield.
