A er the disappointment of Tuesday nights 0-3 to Nailsea & Tickenham in game in which we had a
lot of the ball but failed to break down a very resilient side we travelled to Hallen.
Perksy decided to name an unchanged side from Tuesday.
Jordan Scadding, Lewis Dunn & Josh Egan all returned to the squad but on the bench.
As with the other 2 games we started on the front foot playing sone decent football on a hot day. We
did not let our host se le into the game. We caused the home side problems their keeper was forced
into to an early save from his own player & Ash Kington put an effort just wide.
On 13mins we nearly took the lead when George Jones ra led the bar from range.
Surely it was only be a ma er of me before we could find the opening goal. But a combina on of
poor finishing & keeper interven on kept the score at 0-0.
On 38mins Dean Griffiths found space found space in the box and what looked like a perfect posi on
to score only to see his effort saved, the rebound fell to Joe McLennan who rolled the ball the wrong
side of the post.
2mins later Danny Dodimead seen his effort come back of the keepers legs.
Don’t how but we went in at HT 0-0.
The 2nd half started much the same way as the 1st half had been with us seeing a lot of the ball but
not making our possession tell.
And then it happened on 60mins from a drop ball the home side got in to the box and from a wide
angle made it 1-0.
Perksy made an immediate change with Scadds replacing Jones. He looked lively from the minute he
came on
On 70mins Dunn replaced the injured Ewins. We were star ng to look a bit scrappy as we pushed for
an equaliser. Balls in to the box were either not finding a Bris player or the home side ge ng a foot
in the way.
On 82mins the ball came in from a cross and found it’s way to Scadds who finished from close range
1-1.
A few minutes later we got the winner. With the hosts having a player in the Sin Bin which meant
they had to reorganise their defence.
Dodimeads persistence paid off when he got the be er of the defender and squared the ball for sub
Josh Egan to put the ball in the net 2-1 with minutes le .
The host now has to push but a only had one notable chance a free kick which was dealt with by
Dorrington.
