ENGLISH BICKNOR F.C.

Records show that 'scratch' football teams played at English Bicknor and Hillersland in
the 1920s and in1953 a football team and committee was set up, to be based at the
Village Hall Playing Fields. The ground and club have all undergone recent
refurbishment, with works ongoing and plans to expand the clubhouse and changing
rooms which have now been completed. Our training pitch has new floodlights
installed, and the ground now benefits from full pitch railings, new box goals/nets and
the dugouts refurbished. We have a fantastic proactive committee, headed by our
Chairman Phillip Howard (aka phillymon), who is also Assistant Manager to the first
team, and who is always looking at ways to push the club forward.

Currently there are two senior teams:

The First Team who play in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League - Division 1
~Manager - Daryl Addis
The Reserves who play in the North Gloucester Division 1
~Managers - Jamie Baker and Mark Read

The club also has a new enthusiastic youth team who have done really well in their first
few seasons.

Games are played on Saturdays (and midweek when required) and training is held on
Thursdays.
