                                         Message from the Boardroom

Welcome to the 2021/ 2022 season. It been over 8 months
since we played a compe ve game here at The Poplar
Insula on Stadium due to the COVID 19 Pandemic.

It’s a new season and you may see some changes here at
the ground. We have brand new changing rooms for this
season and would like to thank Chairman Steve Jenkins for
all the hard work he put in to make this happen.
You will also no ce outside the clubhouse “Bishops
Corner” this is a tribute to Francis Bishop who passed away
in June and we dedicate the front cover of today’s
                                         programme to Frank.
As people are probably aware we appealed against our
alloca on in the Western League due to the increased
travel this season with the FA restructure. The increased
travel will severely impact the club finances this season.
Unfortunately our appeal was unsuccessful. So we know
we have a long season ahead but will welcome the new
clubs the Briz when we play them and afford them a warm
                                         welcome.

We have started our reserves up in the Bristol & District
league who will be managed by out longest serving player
James Peart and assisted by former Captain Jason Hughes.

Needless to say we wish all our teams, manager & players
all the best for the coming season.

Tonight we welcome our closest rivals Keynsham Town to
Ironmould Lane and wish their players & officials a
enjoyable but short stay with us.
