View from the dugout
Here we are a er nearly nine months we finally get to play a compe ve
home game.
There have been some squad changes over the last few months. Plummer,
Simpson, Miller & Dorrington have all le the club.
In come young goalkeeper Callum Heal from Odd Down, Asa White from
Shepton Mallet, George Jones & Jordan Scadding from Backwell & pacy
winger Kain Edmondson from AFC Brislington.
Jason Ma hews has rejoined and will provide back-up for his nephew
Callum as well as helping out with some coaching.
We had a disrupted pre-season having to cancel some pre-season games
due to Covid issues, and know doubt it may cause some problems this year.
The 2 games we played in Pre-season ended with wins against Calne (2-1)
& Thornbury (5-1) in which all the new signings impressed.
We started our season on Saturday with a 3-1 win against Street. Match
report is included in today’s programme.
Tonight we welcome our nearest rivals Keynsham Town in what will be a
keenly contested local derby. We will be looking to avenge our Boxing Day
defeat from last year. And have no doubt that Keynsham will find this Bris
side a tougher nut to crack.
