Leading Your Church into Growth

If you recall, at our Away Day last October and our follow up
afternoon in March we discussed the possibility of starting a course
and two in particular were suggested. One being something with an
Alpha bias and the other being the course that the Elders attended
at Synod - 'Leading Your Church into Growth' which is the one that
the prayer we use at our services and meetings derives. There is a
course called Leading Your Church into Growth Local which has
been prepared especially for church groups.

As we elders were inspired by this latter course, we felt it would be
appropriate to offer it to the congregation initially and then move on
to something more spiritually based at a later stage.

Our main concern was about finding someone to lead these church
family days, which we hope will take place over three short
Saturdays over the summer months and we are very grateful to
Rev Mary Thomas who has offered to take this role for us.

One of the Elders from another church has compiled a service to
start us off and again Mary has offered to lead it. This will take

place on Sunday 27 April and David Scott who was due to come
has offered us another date in August.

There will be more information coming and probably a list for
people to sign up. We really hope as many of you will come and be
part of moving our church forward.
