FOODBANK UPDATE
Our local MP Lloyd Hatton and his P.A. visited our Food Bank for
an hour one morning in mid-April.. He was welcomed by a few
Trustees and wider team members
After first seeing the Foodbank room and hearing how our FB was
run, we all enjoyed refreshments in the hall with further chat and
questions.
Davina represented SURC and spoke briefly about Besom, the link
Besom has with Foodbank and how much support has been given
by SURC for both charities, with SURC having a heart for those in
the community needing support.
The visitors were shown the Sanctuary before leaving for their next
appointment.
Our food shortages at the moment:
Cereals ~ Small jars of instant coffee ~ Tins of Tuna and Soup
The tins of meals suitable for warming are always most welcome
