The catacombs were discovered in 1943, they contain thousands of
skulls and bones, having served as a burial-place until 1808, when the
city cemetery was opened outside Lima. It is estimated that 25,000
bodies were laid to rest there.
Finally, we visit Lima’s Magic Water Circuit park and enjoy a unique
show of lights, water, music and pictures. After 35 minutes here, our
guide brings us to the airport for our long plane trip home leaving at
1:00am!
