A Priority for the RBIDZ

CAREER EXHIBITIONS AND
EDUCATIONAL VISITS

Making education a priority and a ladder for growth and
empowerment, the RBIDZ strives to make a difference by
contributing towards the enrichment and knowledge of learners
in and around the Zululand Region.

The RBIDZ was pleased to accommodate a group of young
matriculants from Ntsinde Commercial School, based in Ubombo.

The aim of the educational visit was to gather information on the
subject of Economics, under the syllabus, Industrial Development
Zones. Facilitating the programme was Ms. Choice Sihiya,
Stakeholder and Communications Manager, who delivered an
eye-opening presentation on the Zone’s operations and mandate.

With a drive to deliver every learners’ aspirations, the RBIDZ further
partook in various career exhibitions (see table below), where
different institutions gathered to showcase the facilities they
offer, which are commonly relevant to school learners. With RBIDZ
striving for economic transformation and skills development, a
platform to motivate and guide learners towards making sound
career choices assists in bridging the gap that is created by lack

Amongst other exhibitors that willingly shared relevant information
and career guidance were; University of Zululand, Coastal College,
Central Applications Office (CAO) and Governmental institutions
like; DoE, DoH and municipal bodies.
