than the Klemheist and is much easier to loosen. Don't, however, mistake the carabiner for a handle;
               grab the carabiner, either by accident or on purpose, and the knot will slide down the rope. As with the
               Klemheist, don't use the Bachman to cross a traversing rope. The Bachman is the best ascending knot
               for double ropes. For best performance, place the carabiner between the two lines.

               Autoblock

               This knot is fast becoming the ascending and holding knot of choice among rescuers, because it's
               relatively easy to release when it's loaded. Tie the Autoblock with cord or webbing.
