Understand what I am doing. For I don’t practice what I want to do, but instead do
what I hate. Now if I practice what I don’t want to do, I am admitting that the Law is
good. As it is, I am no longer the one who is doing it, but it is the sin that is living in me
(Romans 7:14-17). Would I say if I still love the things of this world and walk like the
world, am I a slave of the Messiah?
Is my heart lukewarm? Am I really baptised into Christ? Am I really clothed with Christ?
All of you who were baptized into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah
(Galatians 3:27). If you notice the word ‘into’, is a preposition, which means something
that is inside something, not visible or covered with. If you are now baptized into the
Messiah then it means, when you walk we do not see you but we see Messiah whom
you’re baptised into. This is a form whereby God takes the steering and becomes your
master and you his slave. “You’ll be able to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, RAISE
THE DEAD, cast out demons…” (Mathew 10:8), realise then that this does not
determine that God is in you, it’s just one of the things you’re able to do because of his
power that he has anointed you with. I truly believe that when you’re into Christ, there
is no chance for you to sin again.
God cannot lead one astray when he has made one a new creature or if he has
shielded him by his spirit.
I speak the language of angels, I prophesy and my faith can even move mountains, can
all this guarantee you that God is in you? Again notice how Paul says even if you have
all faith that can move mountains and even literally give all your belongings to the poor
or even offer yourself to death, but without love, you are nothing other than a clashing
cymbal. What does he then imply? That the above doesn’t help you at all to examine
whether God is dwelling in one’s heart or not? Surely one can speak in tongues and do
a lot of wonders, but if you’re yet found without LOVE then you’re indeed nothing.
Love is the fulfilment of the law, Love conquers all! Yes! Jesus says “Beware of false
prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are savage wolves. You will
know them by their fruit. Grapes aren’t gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles, are
they? In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces
bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a rotten tree cannot produce good
fruit” (Matthew 7:15-18), meaning that anyone who claims he is a born again, or the
Spirit of God is upon them, Jesus says you’ll know them by their fruits, meaning the
