BiTS: Any idea when we’re going to hear a new album. Have you got plans to go into the studio

     yet?

VL: Yes. I don’t know when it could be released, but definitely soon. I’m really excited. There’s
definitely a lot of songs and I want to start releasing them. I don’t know when, but we are
                           recording now, so yes.

BiTS: Tell me what’s coming up for you in the next week or so.

VL: Well, the next week on Saturday I’m playing at Rhythm and

Roots Festival in Rhode Island, which is a big kind of festival over
here in New England and it’s going to be a really, really great
show. There’s a lot of amazing people on the lineup. Then
throughout September, I definitely have a lot more festivals
booked. I have the one in Hemlock, New York and a small kind

of tour in Western New York, in Rochester and Lima, so
people can check it out on my website. You can see upcoming
shows and just continuing to work and recording new
songs so people can hear them soon.

BiTS: Just to return to the album for one moment, do
you have a favourite track on it?

VL: Oh, I love them all equally, but I think ‘You Ain’t

Unlucky’, the title track, is one that’s very personal and I
was really excited to share with everyone. I wrote it about
how I deal with tough things in my life and how your
perspective is really important in how you can deal with things.
It was one that as soon as I finished writing it and as soon as I

finished recording it, I knew that it was going to be the title track to
kind of encompass what the album represented, so I have to say maybe that one [laughing].

BiTS: You’re obviously a huge Jerry Lee fan as well. Is he one of your all-time favourites?

VL: Well, definitely his music was really a huge impact on me finding this love I have for this
music. I think one of the first videos I ever watched was his ‘Great Balls of Fire’ and ‘Whole Lotta
Shakin’ Goin’ On’ back from the 50s on one of those Ed Sullivan shows and just watching him
bring such an energy and excitement to the piano as an instrument, really changed how I thought

about it. He brought the piano right to the front of the stage. He set it on fire [chuckling], so after
I saw that I was, wow, I want to try to play that and see if I can do it

BiTS: [Laughing] Veronica, I won’t take up any more of your time. It’s been wonderful speaking
to you. Sorry about the confusion we had at the beginning and thanks very much for agreeing to
     chat to me.

VL: Thank you so much, Ian. This is my pleasure. It’s great to meet with you and talk with you on
the phone, and I hope we can do it again soon and I’ll get that ID to you as soon as possible.

BiTS: Come over to England as soon as you can. Once COVID is out the way.

VL: Absolutely. That’s top of the list. I can’t wait.

BiTS: You have a great day.
