What’s your favourite meal to cook at home? I usually open the fridge, take out any available ingredients and challenge myself to an original, simple but tasty dish!
Favourite meal to eat out? Beef Fillet with Béarnaise sauce. Naughty foodie indulgence? Traditional English pork pies. Local chef you admire? The first head chef I worked under as a trainee, Chef Werner Koch.
International chef you admire? Marco Pierre White. His attention to the basics and the story behind the food is inspiring. Career wise, what do you still want to achieve? Publishing my own book, and furthering my international travels to experience new ingredients and cuisines.
Who would you love to cook for? Bono (U2) and Valentino Rossi.
Any romantic dining tips you can dish out? If you are cooking at home, cook from your heart and don’t overcomplicate the evening. If dining out, lots of bubbly and be adventurous with dining choices. Try something you would never usually order. What will you be drinking this Valentine’s day? Graham Beck Rose
Most romantic food? Double baked chocolate fondant with hazelnut ice cream to share.
Most under rated ingredient? Lemons, they are so versatile and can be added to most dishes to really reveal the full flavour of the dish.
Most over rated ingredient? Truffles.
What can we look forward to in 2015 at Magnolia? Exciting new menu and monthly special themed dinner evenings.
