Let’s Understand
Cockroaches are insects. These insects are a pest to your home
but play important roles in the ecosystem.
The life cycle of a cockroach is composed of three developmental
stages: the egg, the nymph, and the adult stage. Most cockroaches grow
their eggs outside of the mother’s body. The mother roach carries her
eggs around in a sac or egg case called an ootheca, which is attached to
her abdomen. This sac contains anywhere between 6 to 40 eggs.
