The ootheca can either remain attached to the cockroach until
the eggs are ready to hatch or deposited in a hidden place where the eggs
will hatch. Other roaches grow their young in an ootheca inside the mother’s
body.
After 6-8 weeks, immature cockroaches known as nymphs
emerge from the case. Young cockroaches are mostly white and will gain
their brown color as they age. These nymphs will feed and go through a
series of moltings throughout a year as they develop into adults. Food in the
home and even pet food can sustain a cockroach. The adult cockroach can
live 1-2 years.

Cockroach’ eggs and nymphs
At home, cockroaches feed on leftover foods and scrapes made
by humans. They also feed on dogs and cats’ foods, old woods, and garbage.
When your kitchen is untidy more cockroaches will be attracted. Some
cockroaches bite humans and cause infection and allergy. Cockroaches can
sometimes play a role as carriers of intestinal diseases, such as diarrhea,
dysentery, typhoid fever, and cholera.
Cockroaches stay in dark places. They don’t like lights. They
infest the kitchen during the night time or when your kitchen is dark.
Cockroach breed and stay under your sink, in the drainage of your house,
behind the refrigerator, inside dark cabinets or drawers and moist and warm
