Page 11 - Be Your Most Brilliant Self!
P. 11
When I wrote this blog, within hours of publication it had drawn a
massive following. Back then, beyond submitting some more blogs, I
didn’t have any way to keep in touch with people and to take that
conversation further. I didn’t even have a website!
But the interest it generated highlighted how much people were
wanting to talk about and understand the relevance, impact and
importance of their emotions in their ability to overcome adversity
and to find pathways to lead thriving, successful, vibrant lives.
Much has been written about the power of the mind. But living is
not an intellectual concept!
To be a truly alive, fully functioning, vibrant human being, we need
not only to think… but also to feel. We must be available to
experience the emotional depths to be found in every moment of a
real life being lived in its fullest.
Our core inner identity, the substance of who we each are as unique
individual human beings, is not simply defined through a process of
logical thought. Our core inner values and the things that matter to
us are a direct result of the way that we feel, they are a direct result
of our emotional experience.
Our emotions inform us, they let us know what is going on in our
world, whether easy or challenging! Our greatest lessons in life
come not only through our good experiences but also through those
events that challenge us and push us to our limits.
