Disappointment is an emotion that contains within it the seeds of
                 potentiality and personal empowerment.

When we experience Disappointment, it means that something
hasn’t gone well, or at the very least it hasn’t gone as we would have
liked it to. In truth this presents us with a profound opportunity for
                 conscious and well-informed choice.

When disappointment hits, it can hit hard! We can so easily drown
in the intensity of this emotion. When we are hurt and Disappointed
by someone or something we understandably see them as the source
of our distress, experiencing ourselves as helpless and at the mercy
of something outside of ourselves. This is disempowering.

Alternatively, we can listen to this emotion.

Disappointment is a signpost. It is asking us to put the brakes on!
To pause and to reflect before deciding how best to proceed.

When we remove judgment of either ourselves or others and we
learn to listen to our Disappointment as an opportunity to ask
questions, we can begin to use this valuable emotion as a
navigational tool. We can use the information it brings to enhance
our capacity for conscious reflective Decision making, opening new
windows of opportunity for empowered considered choice.

When understood and embraced, Disappointment is a friend and an
                 ally on your journey.
