Contacting Your Member of Congress - Fact or Fiction? Research Project

Summary
During my research over the past few years, I have personally called members of Congress in states I do not

live in, gave them names I made up, and for those that even asked (most did not), I gave them street
addresses of businesses in "another" state, and asked them to oppose or support various issues. Some
seemed to be taking down my information (most did not) and they thanked me for calling. So tell me again

how effective is calling your member of Congress?
