                                       999.9.2 – ANIMALS AS PETS


                9.  Animal:  any of a kingdom (Animalia) of living things including many-celled
                    organisms and often many of the single-celled ones (as protozoans) that typically
                    differ from plants in having cells without cellulose walls, in lacking chlorophyll
                    and the capacity for photosynthesis, in requiring more complex food materials (as
                    proteins), in being organized to a greater degree of complexity, and in having the
                    capacity for spontaneous movement and rapid motor responses to stimulation.

                11. RULES – Animals as Pets

                    “51. A Nuwaupian will not have canines living inside their home.  52. A

                    Nuwaupian will not have animals as pets who cannot roam freely as their own
                    nature requires.”

                    “138. Nuwaupians do not have animals in their homes as pets. To please you, to
                    serve you, to entertain you; dogs have their rights as canines of the wild, wolf
                    family, to be free.  139. The same as cats of the feline family, if they can run free
                    in the open as you feed and care for them that is fine. But to have birds in cages or

                    cats or dogs in your home is a form of imprisonment to them and their natural
                    nature.  140. Stop making excuses to lock them in as your pet.  144. Nor, as
                    Nuwaupians, keep fish in small tanks. We can have a large fish tank with all the
                    environment of the sea to them, just as you can have dogs on a farm or to protect

                    your land. But not to live inside your house. Never, ever let an animal exchange
